Proximitii Scores are designed to give you a clear, data-driven snapshot of how livable a specific area is—based on the factors that matter most when choosing where to live. Each location receives an Overall Proximitii Score, which is a weighted average of all individual category scores. These category scores measure core aspects of neighborhood livability, from access to amenities and schools to local crime rates, housing conditions, and economic health.

The Overall Proximitii Score helps you understand how a location compares to others at a glance, while the individual category scores allow you to dig deeper into specific strengths and weaknesses. Here’s what each score represents:

Amenities

The Amenities Score reflects how conveniently located a variety of everyday services and lifestyle destinations are. This includes the number and proximity of coffee shops, restaurants, entertainment options, grocery stores, retail shops, parks, and playgrounds. Higher scores indicate greater access to a well-rounded mix of amenities, all within a short distance of the searched address.

Transit & Commute

This score measures how accessible public transit is near the location. It accounts for the number and proximity of nearby bus stops, train stations, and other transit points. Areas with strong coverage and short walking distances to transit options will score higher, making this a valuable metric for commuters and those who prefer car-free transportation.

Schools

The Schools Score evaluates access to educational institutions, factoring in the number and proximity of childcare centers, elementary schools, and high schools. It provides a quick indication of how family-friendly the area is in terms of daily convenience and long-term educational options.

Health & Safety

This score represents the availability of essential safety and healthcare services. It includes proximity to police stations, fire departments, hospitals, and general health care facilities. Higher scores suggest that emergency services and medical support are more readily available in the area.

Crime (City Specific)

This score compares violent and property crime rates in the city against the national average. It gives users a general sense of how the broader city ranks in terms of public safety. While useful for big-picture context, this score is best paired with more localized insights.

Crime (Location Specific)

In contrast to the citywide crime score, the Location-Specific Crime Score is hyperlocal, focusing on violent and property crimes reported within a 1-mile radius of the selected address. This score gives you a street-level view of safety, helping you understand what daily life may feel like in that exact area.

Economy
